Recently it has been announced that there will be a film adaptation of Five Nights at Freddy’s – the cult game that has taken the world by storm. The Hollywood reporter reports that the film will be produced by Roy Lee of Vertigo entertainment and with Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg of KatzSmith Productions.

Seth Grahame-Smith was quoted as saying “We’re looking forward to working with Scott to make an insane, terrifying and weirdly adorable movie.” Scott Cawthon the creator of Five Nights at Freddy’s said: “The story really lends itself to being a movie and it taps into a largely unexplored niche of horror that a lot of people will be able to relate to”.

The movie version of Five Nights at Freddy’s will be interesting. I doubt they will leave the main character just sitting in a chair for the whole night as that will be quite boring to watch. Then again it will be cool seeing the main character running away from the animatronics and seeing them move, which with the jankey motion of animatronics could give them quite a unnerving feeling.

Personally I am quite excited for the movie. It will be interesting to see how they try to tie in the lore of Five Nights at Freddy’s into the movie – especially with just how dark the lore is.

I can’t wait to see animatronics version of Freddy on the big screen. Which animatronics are you looking forward to seeing? Please leave comment below.
