A great feel-good Christmas theme inspired movie is Arthur Christmas (2011). In general we really enjoy Christmas-themed films, and this one was no exception.
Santa has two sons in this film: one who is more soldier-like and focused on delivering toys and gifts efficiently, and the other, Arthur, who is more about the Christmas emotion and spirit. With technological advancements, the North Pole has changed dramatically. Santa and his large army of highly trained elves use a space ship to deliver them around the world in one night. When one of the 600 million children who receive a present from Santa on Christmas Eve is left out, everyone but Arthur considers it “okay.” Arthur Claus is Santa’s mischievous son who goes on an unofficial rookie mission. Arthur Claus is Santa’s misfit son who executes an unauthorized rookie mission to get the last present half way around the globe before dawn on Christmas morning.
- Santa Claus at the start of the movie is the 20th Santa in history.
- Arthur has a different Christmas sweater for every day of the year. His Easter one features the Easter Bunny leaving an egg for Santa on the front, and Santa leaving a Christmas present for the Easter Bunny on the back!
- A poster for Sony Pictures Animation’s first movie Open Season can be spotted in the bedroom of the child that wakes up when Santa is trying to deliver his presents.
