Edward Scissorhands is a 1990 American romantic dark fantasy film directed by Tim Burton and starring Johnny Depp. This is a modern day fairy tale which tells the story of Edward, a man created by an old inventor who died before finishing him and left him with scissors where he should have hands. Edward is taken in by a suburban family and falls in love with their teenage daughter Kim. He has to adapt to the new life and environment that he isn’t used to. Soon he shows a talent in cutting dog and human hair as well as hedges. Edward wins every body’s heart, or does he?

This beautiful movie starts with a grandmother telling her grandchild why it always snows at Christmas. Edward’s finest hour sees him sculpting ice for the girl he loves, producing a shower of snow in which she dances.
