Netflix is returning to the "Twilight" universe with an animated adaptation of Stephanie Meyer's 2020 novel Midnight Sun, which retells the events of Twilight from Edward Cullen's perspective. Lionsgate Television is developing the animated series, with Meyer serving as an executive producer, alongside Sinead Daly, recognised for her work on The Walking Dead: World Beyond and Tell Me Lies.
