Tim Burton: A creative genius
Welcome to the NerdiPop Tim Burton Dedication Blog
Whether you are aware of it or not, I am sure that you have probably seen at least one Tim Burton movie. Timothy Walter “Tim” Burton (born August 25, 1958) is an American film director, producer, artist, writer, and animator. He is known for his dark, gothic, macabre, and quirky horror and fantasy films.
He also loves utilising the same actors, actresses and suppliers in his movies e.g. Johnny Depp, Michael Keaton and actress Helena Bonham Carter. He has also worked with musician Danny Elfman, who has composed scores for all except two films Burton has directed. Obviously he knows what he is doing as his films are mostly very successful.
Tim Burton also wrote and illustrated the poetry book “The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy & Other Stories“, published in 1997, and a compilation of his drawings, sketches and other artwork, entitled The Art of Tim Burton, was released in 2009. If the rumours are true, Tim Burton’s next two projects will include directing a film adaption of Ransom Riggs’ novel – Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children starring Eva Green, and producing a sequel to his movie, Alice in Wonderland. Both are scheduled for 2016 release.
